Scott was born and raised in Polk County. He had the blessing of having very strong Christian parents and began his training in the Lord from birth. At the age of seven, he felt the drawing of the Holy Spirit and accepted Christ as his savior. From that day on, he has been walking with Jesus and experiencing a great life in the Lord!
After graduating from Polk Community College in 1990, he attended Engineering College at the University of South Florida. In 1993, he married his wonderful wife, Tracey, and they started their own Christian home. Shortly after their marriage, he was ordained as a deacon in his home church of Golfview Baptist. He would later take the position of Music Director at Golfview. In 1996, God called him to another ministry at First Baptist Church of Lake Hamilton. This position started out as a bi-vocational ministry and later turned into a full time position as minister of youth and music.
When God called him into the full time ministry, he was honored to be ordained into the Gospel Ministry at FBC, Lake Hamilton. One of the most important things in their lives happened while at FBC, Lake Hamilton. Their first child, Seth, was born in May of 1997. He has been a great blessing to them and they count it a privilege from God to have him with them.
After a short year at FBC of Jan Phyll Village, they came to Emmanuel Baptist Fellowship. While at Emmanuel they have seen several milestones crossed. First, their daughter, Crissann, was born in 2002. She is a wonderful girl and we look forward to seeing the plan God has for her life. He completed both, a Bachelor degree in Management from Warner Southern College and a Master degree in Administration. But the most important event to date was when he had the privilege to baptize his son, Seth, after his profession of faith in Jesus Christ!! He looks forward to many more years here at Emmanuel. He continues to run the race and strive for the prize that God has in store for him in Heaven. May God bless each person that comes through our doors!!
